Plumbing Contractor Software Privacy Policy

Controller: Yassine Rajallah (operating as Plumbing Contractor Software) Last Updated: 21st October 2026 Version: 1.1

1. Who We Are and How to Reach Us

The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

Yassine Rajallah Berlin, Germany Email: hello@plumbingcontractorsoftware.com

Data Protection Officer: We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. For all privacy matters, contact us directly at the address above.

Supervisory Authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with our competent supervisory authority:

Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Friedrichstr. 219, 10969 Berlin, Germany www.datenschutz-berlin.de

We would, however, appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first. Please write to hello@plumbingcontractorsoftware.com.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy covers the website plumbingcontractorsoftware.com and any emails you send us. Together they are the “Service”. It is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German data protection law.

The software for plumbing shops that the site describes is not released yet. When it is, this policy will be updated before it opens, and it will say what the software stores and sends.

In short:

  • The site has no accounts, no sign-in and no forms. You reach us only by email.
  • We run our own visit counter on our own server (Section 3.4). It sets four first-party cookies. It starts when a page loads and stops only if you decline.
  • A cookie banner on every page lets you accept or decline the counter. Your choice is saved in one first-party cookie, cookie_consent, for 180 days (Section 3.5).
  • You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page. Declining deletes the counter’s cookies and stops the counter.
  • No advertising cookies, no advertising networks, no third-party fonts or embeds, and we never sell or share your data.

3. Personal Data We Process and Why

3.1 Website Delivery (Server Logs)

When your browser loads the site, our hosting provider receives the technical data any web server receives:

Data Legal Basis
IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser and operating system, response status Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interests (delivering the site, keeping it secure and stable)

These logs are kept by the hosting provider only as long as needed for security and operations, and then deleted. We do not combine them with other data or use them to identify you.

3.2 Emails You Send Us

This includes a request for early access. The early access button on the site opens your own email program. Nothing is sent until you send it.

Data Legal Basis
Email address, name, the content of your message Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message is a request for early access or for information about the Service; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interests (answering your enquiry)

We use your email address to answer you and, if you asked for early access, to tell you when the software opens. We do not add you to any other list. We keep correspondence for up to 2 years after your enquiry is resolved, or until you ask us to delete it, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

3.3 What We Do Not Do

  • No advertising scripts or tracking pixels. The only analytics is our own visit counter, described in Section 3.4, which you can decline (Section 3.5)
  • No advertising or cross-site cookies. The only cookies are the four first-party cookies of that visit counter (Section 3.4) and the cookie that remembers your choice (Section 3.5)
  • No forms, accounts or sign-in on the website
  • No third-party fonts, CDNs or embeds; every file is served from plumbingcontractorsoftware.com, apart from the small visit-counter script, which comes from our own server (Section 3.4)
  • No sale or sharing of personal data

3.4 Website Visit Statistics

The marketing pages of this website (not the web app at /app/) count visits with a small visit counter that we run ourselves, on our own server at dataf.blazehive.io. The server is hosted by Amazon Web Services in Ireland and its traffic is delivered through Cloudflare. It is not a third-party analytics service and no advertising network is involved.

The counter starts when a page loads, unless you have declined it with the cookie banner or the “Cookie settings” button (Section 3.5). We do not wait for you to accept first. If you decline, the counter is not loaded and nothing is sent to it.

Data Legal basis Purpose
Page address (including any advertising click identifier in it, such as gclid, which this site does not use itself), the site you came from, browser and operating system type, device type, browser language, time zone, screen and window size, approximate location (country, region, city, worked out from your IP address) and a random visitor ID Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interests (knowing which pages are read and how people find the site) Counting visits and visitors, and seeing which pages help

The counter sets four first-party cookies on this website’s domain:

Cookie What it holds Lifetime
datafast_visitor_id A random visitor ID 1 year
datafast_visitor_first_seen_at The date this browser first visited 1 year
datafast_visitor_session_count How many visits this browser has made 1 year
datafast_session_id A random ID for the current visit 30 minutes after your last page view

While the counter runs, it also keeps the address of the page you are on and the time in your browser’s session storage (datafast_pageview_state), so that a reload of the same page within a minute is not counted twice. The browser deletes it when you close the tab.

These cookies are only used for these statistics and are not needed to use the Service. You can decline them (Section 3.5), or block or delete them in your browser at any time; the website works the same without them. The statistics do not contain your IP address. Our server’s access log does keep it for up to 14 days, for security and troubleshooting. The statistics are not combined with any account or email data, and are never sold or shared. We keep the statistics for as long as we need them to see which pages help, and we delete the data tied to your visitor ID when you ask us to (Section 7).

3.5 Cookie Banner and Your Choice

On your first visit, a cookie banner appears at the bottom left of every page of this website, and stays until you make a choice. It says that we use cookies to see which pages help visitors most, and links to this policy. It offers:

  • Accept: you accept the visit counter. The small “x” in the corner of the banner does the same.
  • Customize: opens a window with five categories: Strictly necessary, Functional, Analytics and performance, Targeting and advertising, and Social media and content. Only the Analytics and performance switch has an effect, because the visit counter is the only thing on this website that these categories could cover. The other switches do not change anything, since we use no functional, advertising or social media cookies. “Save preferences” follows the Analytics and performance switch: on means you accept the counter, off means you decline it. If you close the window without saving, no choice is recorded and the banner stays.

Because the counter starts when a page loads, it is already running while the banner is shown and until you decline. It is not blocked until you accept. If you decline, we stop it as follows:

  • the counter’s four cookies (Section 3.4) are deleted, and the counter stops sending on the page you are on;
  • two small markers (datafast_ignore and ck_df_ignored) are saved in your browser’s local storage, so that the counter stays off. They contain no personal data;
  • on later visits the counter script is not loaded at all, and nothing is sent to it.

Your choice is saved in a first-party cookie named cookie_consent. Its value is granted (you accepted) or denied (you declined), and it is kept for 180 days, on plumbingcontractorsoftware.com and www.plumbingcontractorsoftware.com. When it expires, the banner appears again. We use it only to remember your choice and not to identify you. We treat it as strictly necessary (Section 6) and process it on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interests (respecting your choice).

How to change or withdraw your choice: use the “Cookie settings” button in the footer of every page. It opens the same window and shows your current choice. Switch Analytics and performance off and choose “Save preferences” to decline, or on to accept. Declining takes effect straight away and applies from then on, and it also counts as your objection to the visit counter under Art. 21 GDPR. You can also delete the cookies in your browser at any time.

4. Recipients

Recipient Purpose Data
Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg (Amplify and CloudFront) Hosting the website and delivering it Server log data in Section 3.1
Cloudflare, Inc., United States Domain name system (DNS) service for plumbingcontractorsoftware.com, and Email Routing, which receives mail sent to addresses at the domain and forwards it to our inbox. Cloudflare does not carry the website traffic. The domain name lookups that reach it, which include the IP address of the resolver that asks. For email: the sender, recipient and content of messages as they pass through.
Google LLC, United States (Gmail) Our inbox, where the forwarded mail arrives Data in Section 3.2
Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (server in Ireland) and Cloudflare, Inc., United States Running our own visit-counter server and delivering its traffic, unless you declined the counter (Section 3.5) Data in Section 3.4
Porkbun LLC, United States Registering the domain name None of your data

These providers act as processors under Article 28 GDPR where required.

5. International Data Transfers

Cloudflare and Google are based in the United States, and Amazon Web Services may route traffic through servers outside the European Economic Area. For these providers we rely on an adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another transfer tool allowed under Chapter V GDPR. You can ask us for a copy at hello@plumbingcontractorsoftware.com.

6. Browser Storage (TDDDG § 25)

The site stores the following in your browser. Apart from this, it saves nothing about you.

Name Type Purpose Lifetime Needed to use the Service
cookie_consent First-party cookie Remembers your choice in the cookie banner (granted or denied) 180 days Yes, to respect your choice
datafast_ignore and ck_df_ignored Local storage Keep the visit counter off after you declined it Until you accept again or clear your browser data Yes, to respect your choice
datafast_visitor_id, datafast_visitor_first_seen_at, datafast_visitor_session_count First-party cookies Visit statistics (Section 3.4) 1 year No
datafast_session_id First-party cookie Visit statistics (Section 3.4) 30 minutes after your last page view No
datafast_pageview_state Session storage Visit statistics (Section 3.4) Until you close the tab No
Copies of the site’s own files Browser cache, via a service worker Pages load faster and still open with a weak signal Until the cache is cleared or updated Yes

The cookie that remembers your choice, the markers that keep the counter off and the cache of the site’s own files are strictly necessary to provide the Service you ask for and to respect your choice, so no consent is required for them under § 25(2) No. 2 of the German Telekommunikation-Digitale-Dienste-Datenschutz-Gesetz (TDDDG). None of it is sent to us, apart from the cookie_consent cookie, which your browser sends to our website with every request, as any cookie is.

The visit counter’s cookies and session storage are not needed to use the Service. They are set when a page loads unless you have declined (Section 3.5), and we do not ask for your consent before setting them. You can decline them at any time with the banner or the “Cookie settings” button in the footer, and you can block or delete them in your browser. The website works the same without them.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the following rights under Chapter III GDPR:

Right Description
Access (Art. 15) Obtain confirmation of processing and a copy of your personal data
Rectification (Art. 16) Have inaccurate data corrected without undue delay
Erasure (Art. 17) Request deletion where data is no longer necessary or processing is unlawful
Restriction (Art. 18) Restrict processing while accuracy is contested or an objection is pending
Portability (Art. 20) Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
Object (Art. 21) Object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
Complaint (Art. 77) Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority listed in Section 1

How to submit a request: Email hello@plumbingcontractorsoftware.com with the subject line “Data Subject Request”. We respond within one (1) month of receipt. To be taken off the early access list, write “Remove me” to the same address.

Objecting to the visit counter does not need an email: decline it with the “Cookie settings” button in the footer (Section 3.5). If you want the data already collected about your browser deleted, email us and include the value of your datafast_visitor_id cookie so that we can find it.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is a business tool and is not directed at persons under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

9. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, with security headers that stop it being framed by other sites. The website itself has no database and no login, so there is no account data to leak. The visit counter sends its data to our own server over HTTPS. Mail is forwarded by our email provider and arrives in our own inbox.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise these rights, contact hello@plumbingcontractorsoftware.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the Service, the cookie banner, the visit counter or the law changes. The current version is always at plumbingcontractorsoftware.com/privacy-policy/ with the “Last Updated” date at the top. When the software is released, we will update this policy before it opens. Where a change affects data we already hold about you and we have your email address, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.

Changes in version 1.1 (21st October 2026): We added the visit counter (Section 3.4), the cookie banner and the cookie_consent cookie (Section 3.5), and rewrote Sections 3.3 and 6 to match. Before this version, the website set no cookies.
